Ice & Water Report
Lake-by-lake condition references across the American ice belt: observed water data from the US Geological Survey where lakes are instrumented, National Weather Service air temperature context everywhere, a transparent freeze-degree-day model, and the state DNR ice guidance that experienced hardwater anglers already live by, in one dated, sourced reference per lake.
One thing it will never do is call ice "safe." Ice is never one hundred percent safe. This is an educational reference; the drill and the spud bar make the final call.
